Braided Rugs

Braided rugs begin their history in England. They were made by needlewomen of any kind due to the ease of their production. So, it was a habit to have a couple of home-made braided rugs lying around the house at any times. Then this tradition of braided rugs making moved on with the first pilgrims to the North America.

Now the oldest traditions of braided rugs are kept in Middle States where you can still buy home-made braided rugs from some small family-business type company.
Braided rugs are very convenient in everyday life - they serve longer that many other types of rugs, they stay down to the floor without sticking up and making you trip over their edges.

The colors used in braided rugs making are often very traditional - blue, gray, red, and white, and that's about it. The most popular pattern is concentric circles of different colors. This, of course, reminds of the Independence Day rugs.

Yes, those are mainly braided rugs, too. So, braided rugs are all-time favorites in tradition keeping, always there, reminding you of your roots and your past.
Exceptionally good places to fit braided rugs into are the houses which you visit not that often, for example, resort houses by the lake or so. This would make you feel like coming home from the craziness of everyday life whenever you enter through the doors of that house.
